After deciding to not move his family to open yet another branch office for a larger firm, Raymond P. Elliott, P.E.
In 1977, Ray's wife, Joyce, came in to help the drilling operation and in 1979 became MATECO's president.
Their sons, Dale and Steve, had spent summers working at the companies and both pursued engineering careers.
Dale gravitated to the drilling operation and Steve toward engineering and testing.
Their daughter, Vicki, focused on business matters and eventually became involved to support those areas.
