Originally operated by a two-man team, Soils Engineering was founded to fill a need in Bakersfield by providing quality, customized Geotechnical Engineering, Field Investigations and Testing to a thriving local construction industry.
We have grown a lot since then, but we still strive to give the same kind of small company attention to detail, with the expertise of a large company that has acquired over 50 years of experience since our inception in 1966.

Soils Engineering, Incorporated, was founded in Bakersfield, California in 1966 to provide Geotechnical Engineering, Field Testing and Inspection Services to clients in Kern County and surrounding areas.
In the late 1970's, as the demand for Environmental Engineering services increased, we began to fill this need by providing our clients with slant-drilling operations, as well as advancing proficiency in soil and rock testing techniques necessary to meet California State and Federal EPA Standards.
