Founded in 1972, Test Lab, Inc. (Test Lab) is a multi-disciplined organization of engineers, geologists, field and laboratory technicians, and support personnel, who combine their technical capabilities, past experience, dedication and enthusiasm to provide quality engineering services to our clients. Being a full service consulting firm, we provide Geotechnical Engineering, Construction Materials Engineering and Testing, and Construction Inspection.
Since its inception, Test Lab has provided practical engineering solutions on over 11,000 projects for industrial and commercial clients, architects, engineers, developers and governmental agencies. We understand the cost implications of field work in an increasingly competitive environment and work with our clients to develop evaluation and testing programs that provide the information needed at a practical cost.

Test Lab is certified as a Disadvantaged Woman Business Enterprise (DBE) by the State of Florida, the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), the City of Tampa, Tampa Port Authority, Polk County, City of St. Petersburg, Hillsborough County, Pinellas County, Hillsborough County Aviation Authority (HCAA) and the Hillsborough County School Board.
Our laboratory is inspected annually by the Construction Materials Engineering Council (CMEC) and has been accredited by that organization in accordance with ASTM C 1077.

Our Geotechnical Engineering Services include soil suitability evaluations, such as PD&E studies, site constructability and borrow evaluations; forensic consultation, which includes sinkhole, wind and flood evaluations; shallow and deep foundation designs; subsurface remediation design which includes vibro-replacement and grouting; wall design including MSE and sheet pile design as well as pavement evaluation and design.
Our Construction Material Testing Services combined with our in-house laboratory allows us to provide a complete service to our clients.
Our certified field technicians and inspectors perform a wide range of field testing services on projects and at batch production facilities.
These tests range from in-place density tests, monitoring of fill placement, concrete and asphalt batch plant monitoring, to sampling and testing of fresh concrete as well as testing and inspection of piling installations, built-up roof installation, sprayed on fireproofing installation, drilled shaft and precast/prestressed operations.

As a Florida Department of Transportation certified DBE firm, our Construction Engineering Inspection Services Department provides CTQP qualified inspectors to CEI firms, assisting these firms in a support role in meeting their DBE staffing goals.
